Recipes on CooksAtlas are linked to the most common food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances to help you cook with confidence. As we grow, we will expand our recipe creation, cooking, ingredient database, and evidence-based capabilities.
Our Story
Thaniel van Amerongen, co-founder and product, started a baking ritual with his family in 2017 that led to deeper connections and fun times. By 2020, Thaniel learned he has a gluten-sensitivity that changed how he cooked and ate. This experience led him to better understand how challenging and complex dietary restrictions can be for households to make meals regularly with variety.
Frederic Barthelemy, co-founder and engineer, grew up with his parents cooking daily family dinners where connection and memories were created. While growing up, his family moved to different parts of the world, growing his appreciation and passion for regional and world cuisines.
